The Transportation Security Administration operates at Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport for six years. The TSA Security Screening allows passengers to leave on their shoes, light outerwear, and belt to keep their laptops in their bags and have 3-1-1 liquids in carry-on bags.
Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport is among the 120 airports where these procedures are held. The airlines which participate in the program at XNA are the following: American Airlines, Delta Airlines, United Airlines, and U.S. Airways.
The citizens of the U.S. and permanent residents should pre-enroll online at tsa.gov to fill the application and provide biographic information. They should have the following documentation: The government-issued I.D., which shows the current address, also traveler should be fingerprinted and must provide a U.S. passport and U.S Birth Certificate or valid immigration document. It should be noted that the $85 fee has to be paid for a five-year membership.
As soon as participants are approved, they will receive a Known Traveler Number (KTN), and after it, they will use TSA Pre lanes at security checkpoints in all 120 airports, including XNA airport too.
Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport had started the expansion project in 2018 to improve the area of the TSA security checkpoint and added the fourth checkpoint lane. The 5.300 square foot expansion will better accommodate the growing number of passengers. As a result of the new project, the terminal has been expanded to 194,500 square feet.
